About the Author

Madi writes stories for curious little minds who believe something is hiding behind the trees, ask wonderfully unexpected questions, notice things adults have forgotten, and are learning to trust their own way of seeing the world.

Her books encourage children to explore, imagine, connect with nature, use their senses, practise kindness and stay curious about what exists both around them and within them.

Madi grew up believing the world was something to experience, interact with and care for, not just look at.

As a little girl, she believed magic made the world, nature, and the unseen work. So, as she wandered around, she found things nobody else noticed.

Mary and her tales are inspired by how Madi views the world.

Her Mum taught her to watch the trees breathe and notice the living nature around her - now known as mindfulness. Her Dad taught Madi to experience life through my five senses — to really look, listen, touch, taste and smell the world. Lastly, her Grandma Joy taught her to pay attention to something less visible: intuition, kindness and the quiet feeling inside that helps guide the way we experience our lives.

Those lessons shape the way we experience the world.

Now, as a mum of two, Madi wants to pass that same sense of wonder on to her children.

But why stop there? Every child deserves to see the magic, positivity, and wonder that her family does.

Where are my parents at?

For the mums, dads, grandparents and guardians who want to slow childhood down just a little. Madi hopes this encourages you to spend that quality time wandering curiously with your children and remember how wondrous the world is and who you are deep down.

More time outside. More imagination. More conversations. More muddy shoes, strange questions, bedtime stories and moments that turn into memories without anyone realising it at the time.

Note from Madi;

I believe children already know how to find magic.

Sometimes, we need to give them the space to keep looking and remember.

And perhaps, if we are lucky, they might remind us how to see it too.

Love always,

Madi xo
